Three Fox Vineyards is the essence of “La Dolce Vita”. It is our love of caring for those who come to spend time with us. It is the passion of crafting hand-made wines in the old world tradition. We are a place to throw away your cares and enjoy life, family and friends. We are a peaceful 50 acre island set on rolling hills in the heart of Virginia’s hunt country. Our way of being takes your heart away to north-central Italy, to Tuscany or the Piemonte. In fact, we have Northern Virginia’s first plantings of Sangiovese, the main red wine grape of Tuscany.

Crooked Run and Goose Creek bound us to the north and the south. We have beautiful, tranquil views from our Tasting Room and its surrounding outdoor areas and vineyard. Come enjoy our tented, al fresco terazza, our old world brick patio, vine-side grass bocce courts, flower gardens, rolling hills, and creek side picnic areas and hammocks in our meadow by Crooked Run. Bring you own picnic to enjoy with our wine. We also have light fare to make up an impromptu picnic! Everything at Three Fox evokes the small, warm, friendly European tradition of wine making, wine tasting, and living.

Savor award winning wines from our estate. Estate varietals include Sangiovese, Nebbiolo, Pinot Grigio, Cabernet Franc, Merlot and Viognier. You can also enjoy Chardonnay, Vidal (off-dry) and Chambourcin (done as a port alternative).

As of December 1, 2009, our tasting fee is $5/person and that includes the souvenir glass (more for groups of 8 and over which includes reserved space and other “percs”). For the usual 8 to 10 wines we pour for a tasting it’s a great bargain!

We are simply a peaceful world away from it all yet so easy to get to and close to the Washington, DC metro area. We’re only 40 minutes from the Beltway on historic Route 66 at Exit 23. We’re also just 20 minutes from Middleburg or Manassas, 15 minutes from Warrenton and 40 minutes from Winchester. Hit our “Visit Us” tab for directions!

Our vineyard and way of life – La Dolce Vita – is a tribute to the beautiful dream in all of us. Come and realize that dream with us at Three Fox Vineyards!

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
