Just outside the beautiful village of Versailles, in Darke County, Ohio, to the west, you will be met with billowy fields of corn, beans and hay. And nestled in between those fields you will see several acres of grapes. You have just arrived at The Winery at Versailles

As you drive in the parking lot, you will find two large parking areas with generous turnarounds for buses, trailers, or large vehicles. As you enter the remodeled tobacco barn you will be met with the tall, open area and a rustic but elegant chandelier. Our air conditioned tasting room offers three indoor seating areas. As you wander through the downstairs, you will see the French doors that lead to the two spacious covered patios connected by a walkway that features a small but beautiful garden with a cascading fountain. Three acres of vineyards can be viewed from both patios.

Our three seating areas offer room for small events and gathering. The patios can hold up to 100 guests during the summer months. On the main floor you will find our fireplace corner that keeps our guests cozy and warm during the winter months. Reservations are highly recommended if you are travelling a good distance to The Winery or if you have a group of 5 or more (there is no fee for this; please call for details).

Our friendly and knowledgeable staff will greet you with our most current wine list, and offer several different wine sampling options. While you choose, we invite you to browse through our gift area, and check out our hand crafted gift baskets. Each basket is individually designed with handmade bows. We also have many gift ideas, from wine racks and stemware, to corkpulls and toppers. You will find winery clothing,T-shirts and sweatshirts, hats, candles, plus seasonal holiday gifts.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
