Terisa Vineyards, a boutique Winery located in Calistoga in Northern Napa Valley wine country, is an award-winning winery producing Napa Valley Chardonnay, Sonoma Valley Chardonnay, and Suisun Valley Chardonnay. Ron Lilly's Calistoga boutique winery specializes in creating Chardonnay and only Chardonnay. "I believe in concentrating on one variety and pulling out all the stops". Using family vineyards from Alexander Valley, the Sonoma Valley Chardonnay is a luscious ripe Chardonnay that "speaks for itself." The goal of Terisa Vineyards is to produce a balanced, fresh, clean Chardonnay from Napa Valley or Sonoma Valley vineyards. Situated in the heart of Northern Napa Valley in Calistoga, Terisa Vineyards offers 3 different Chardonnays, one from the Rutherford area of Napa which is the richest and and strongest in straight forward Chardonnay charactor. The Sonoma Chardonnay which is riper and fatter than the Napa, comes from the Alexander Valley in Northern Sonoma County. The Vineyard is located on the banks of the Russian River where the morning fog follows the river inland creating a cooling affect on the vineyards, making it an ideal location for growing Chardonnay. The Suisun Valley Chardonnay is from a vineyard that is located just one mile from the most south eastern border of Napa Valley. Suisun Valley is a windy cool area which has the same daytime temperatures as Napa's coolest AVA Carneros Region, therfore making it also a very good area to grow Chardonnay. All the Chardonnays from Terisa Vineyards are barrel fermented in 100% French Oak and aged for 10 months. The sediment or "lees" in the bottom of the barrels are stirred weekly to bring the lees back into suspension for a richer creamier and more complex flavors.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
