Nestled in the heart of historical Uvas Valley, Sycamore Creek Vineyards & Winery is a small family-owned and operated winery producing limited amounts of unique hand-crafted wines. The head-caned old vine Cabernet and Chardonnay vines are dry farmed to produce intense flavors and aromas. We invite you to come on in and enjoy our wines and vineyards with friends and family.

Sycamore Creek Vineyards & Winery is located 20 miles south of San Jose just west of the town of Morgan Hill. The vineyard property is located in the historical Uvas Valley which is at the southern end of the Santa Cruz Mountain Range. Uva means "grape" in Spanish and the valley was so named by early explorers who found California's native vine growing in abundance in the valley. In 1977, some of the Carignane was replanted to Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon, two varietals that would make a name for the winery. Sycamore Creek Vineyards was the first of a new generation of super-premium producers in the area which was traditionally known for its reasonably priced jug wines. The winery soon amassed a long list of awards and medals.
In July of 2005, Sycamore Creek Vineyards was purchased by Bill and Carolyn Holt of Morgan Hill. Bill and his son-in-law, Ted Medeiros, have been involved in growing premium wine grapes at their Uvas Creek Vineyards property located just 1/2 mile north of the Sycamore Creek property.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
