A small family winery owned by Jim & Jeanne Durr, Surface Creek Winery is located in a premier fruit growing area of Delta County, Colorado. Our winery is set below the southern rim of the Grand Mesa, which provides a source of vital irrigation and domestic water in a high desert that annually receives 8 inches of precipitation - whether we need it or not!
Jim hand crafts our artisan wines from the finest Colorado-grown grapes and fruit. Jim is a former wildlife biologist and natural resource attorney, whose commitment to wildlife is reflected in the sandhill cranes, trophy bull elk, gunnison grouse, and Colorado columbine that appear on our wine labels.
Jeanne runs our tasting room and gallery and would love to help you plan events or design custom labels for weddings, anniversaries and other special occasions.
