Contact: Kostas Kapiniaris

The Kapiniaris Family has grown wine grapes and has made wine for more than five generations. With our family's early cultivating practices and winemaking techniques in Greece, Konstantino Kapiniaris, youngest of six siblings, was fortunate to bring his family's passion to the wine grape growing region of Lodi, California.

In 1987, Konstantino Kapiniaris purchased his first vineyard of 30 acres in the Lodi grape growing region. Since then, the Kapiniaris family has expanded to 185 acres of premium wine grapes.

Due to the warm summer days and cool delta breezes, Konstantino Kapiniaris found the Lodi Appellation to be optimal for growing premium wine grapes.
Today, the Kapiniaris Family not only grows premium winegrapes in the Lodi Appellation, but has also expanded in the production of fine wines under their own label, STAMA.

Currently, the varietals bottled by Stama are:

~ Cabernet Sauvignon

~ Merlot

~ Syrah

~ Chardonnay

~ White Zinfandel

~ Old Vine Zinfandel

~ Syrah/Zinfandel Blend

The Kapiniaris family has also increased their expansion by adding two unparalleled premium wines.

~ Zany Zinfandel

~ Curvaceous Cabernet
Our wines can be found in many white tablecloth restaurants, hotels, and ultra-lounges.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
