Sky Saddle Wines are limited edition, hand-crafted and award-winning wines made from certified organically grown grapes. We are a small, family owned business making just 1000 cases each year.

•Sky Saddle was nominated to go to Slow Food’s Terra Madre in Italy in October 08 www.terramadre.info. We were the only winery
representing Sonoma County! Read the press release here.
•Our 2005 Chardonnay places 3rd out of 160 Chardonnays worldwide in the Chardonnay Shootout! www.affairsofthevine.com
• Our 2006 Chardonnay had a recent review by Randy Caparoso's
"Organic Wine Match of the Day." He said: "a fairly big, fat, sweet butterball of a wine, teeming with honeyed apples, smoky white oak, and a drop of apricot in the nose; the body, full scaled and viscous, creamy textured, muscular in feel, finishing in a cacophony of sweet apples, vanillin/toasted oak." Mmmm....
• Our Chardonnay and Sangiovese are from the biodynamic Harm's Vineyard's in Napa Valley. We love their grapes! For more information on the vineyards and the harvest of 2008 go here.
•Food and Wine Magazine mentions our Chardonnay: "I also got to taste a pretty terrific Chardonnay from another fellow making wine at Deerfield Ranch, Matt Wilson. The 2006 Sky Saddle Chardonnay ($24) comes from a small biodynamic vineyard in the Oak Knoll District; fourteen months of extended lees contact gives it a silky texture and depth that recalls Mark Aubert's Chardonnays, for instance, albeit at a lot less $$. Not very much of this around, but no one seems to know about it yet, either. Give the man a call."

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
