Production: Very Small

Our wines are produced from premium vineyards in prime locations for their varietal. The vineyards are meticulously tended by hand with care and attention to every vine throughout the growing season. Low vineyard yields, the finest French oak barrels, natural winemaking techniques, and a world class consultant winemaker, Paul Hobbs, usually means ultra expensive wines. At 16x20 Wines we are proving that with hands on attention to detail from the owners we can produce wines of character and complexity that would normally sell for much more. One way we do this is to produce Sixteen by Twenty wines right alongside our higher priced Black Cordon Vineyards wines. From vineyard to bottle our 16x20 wines are treated to the very best care and attention to detail. It's not about barrel selection, it's about identifying blocks in vineyards, rows in blocks, barrel types that accentuate the fruit source, and many more details that will benefit either the Sixteen by Twenty wines or the Black Cordon Vineyards wines. This "Synergy" makes each of these wines the best they can be, year in and year out.

Sixteen by Twenty wines are made for you, the wine lovers that don't want to sacrifice pedigree, character and complexity even when the price is a wine lovers dream come true!

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
