Wine Tale: While most sharks have five gills, some have six – such as the Bluntnose Sixgill and the Sixgill Sawshark. The Bluntnose shark has been known to live up to 80 years. Primarily a deepwater species, it lives over the outer continental shelves as well as upper slopes. It once thrived worldwide – but its numbers in many areas have been diminished.

Wine with a mission: Our goal at Shark Trust Wines is to bring great wine from around the globe to your table while actively spreading the message about the need for shark conservation and making it easy for people to make a difference through the donation of 10% of our profits.

Winemakers
Our winemakers are located in California, South Africa and France – three great locations that, in our opinion, produce the best Chardonnays, Chenins, and Syrahs the world-over.

California: Brent
Brent has extensive hands-on experience in virtually every aspect of the wine industry, from the cellar to the boardroom. With a biochemistry background and medical school in his sights, Brent had no intention of entering the wine business until a summer job at Sonoma’s Buena Vista Winery changed his life. After working with legendary winemaker Andre Tchelistcheff, Brent knew that wine was his calling and stayed at Buena Vista, first as a chemist, then in exports and finance, eventually becoming the winery’s vice president of marketing. After leaving Buena Vista, Brent immersed himself in the wine country community as marketing director for the Napa Valley Vintners Association. He has since worked with a number of industry associations, including Zinfandel Advocates and Producers (ZAP), and he currently chairs the international program at the Wine Institute.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable: A Tipsy Search

  Best Books of the Year

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
