Our mission at SC Cellars is to make wines of distinction and style. To accomplish that we begin in the vineyard, cultivating & nurturing the soil and of our work from the vineyard to the glass is a premium, handcrafted wine. Our estate grown red wine is crafted in the traditional Bordeaux style. A classic blend of the five noble French varietals, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cab Franc, Petite Verdot and Malbec. Producing a wine exhibiting dark ruby red color with aromas of blackberry, allspice, cedar and pepper. Full bodied with great balance and a lingering finish. SC Cellars is family owned and operated. Scott and Colleen Kline are the proprietors, winemakers & vineyard managers. The family beagle, "Gidget" is assistant vineyard manager (see photo of Gidget checking the vines for unwanted bird nests).

The vineyard was planted and established in 1998. Scott tends to the winemaking duties and vineyard operations with the help of his able assistant, Colleen. Colleen attends to the daily operations, with the help of her able assistant , Scott. During winemaking and crush the balance of the Kline Family, Katie, Jeff, Lindsey , Kevin, Sienna, Forrest and Chelsea arrive to assist with the labor and joy of the harvest and crush season. Not being a commercial operation allows us to concentrate on crafting wine in small lots to share with our family and friends.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
