Contact: Kathy

Our wines are not the only all-natural organic items we produce at our vineyard. We have a small organic orchard, from which we harvest apples to create apple-sauce and apple-cider.

We also plan to produce organic muscadine grape seed oil and muscadine grape juice. We want everyone to enjoy our products and the magic of muscadine in whatever form suits their individual lifestyle.

Our vineyard is planted on a lush, green Tennessee hillside in the foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains. In fact, one can see the actual Rocky Top, a spot on the Appalachian Trail, from the vineyard; thus our name.

The vineyard has steep slopes, requiring us to terrace the hillsides. This creates very labor-intensive hand-work to cultivate our vines, as the terrain is simply unsuitable for a tractor.

Our land has never been sprayed with herbicides nor pesticides, providing us with a native biosystem of insects, flowers, herbs, trees and other species not often found outside of our area. The soil is rocky, perfect for the native muscadine grape, our choice for truly extraordinary wines.

Native Americans have used the muscadine grape for thousands of years, and it was considered by some to be the Great Spirit's gift to the South. The muscadine is known as the smart grape, as it thrives in our Southern humidity, long, hot days, and sufficient rainfall to eliminate irrigation. The health benefits of muscadine are many, and you can read about them, and the effects of resveratrol on cancer prevention, life extension, and athletic performance.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
