Rocky Creek Cellars is a small, family owned and operated winery. We are located on the southern slope of York Mountain and bordered by Rocky Creek. Come visit us and enjoy some of the best red wine in the area. We have a rustic and unique tasting room located on 46 West surrounded by beautiful country sides. Come explore what great, small batch wines are supposed to taste like. All our wines are barrel aged for at least 2 years. This gives the wine a richness and flavor that the others don't have. Once you've tasted real wine you'll see there is no comparison.
All of our unique red wines are completely handcrafted and showcased only at our small and unique tasting room.
some of theri wines are:
Sangiovese 2001 (late harvest)
From Ranchita Oaks Vineyard of San Miguel, grown in a hot, dry climate with limestone soil, this Sangiovese has a bright garnet color. The nose is clean with cherries and a hint of violet. This late harvest Sangiovese is sweet and is a excellent after dinner wine .
Syrah 2002
The grapes grown in this production are from the Pfeiffer Vineyard of Creston, Southeast of Paso Robles. It is a fabulous wine. Moving from sweet and ripe to pepper and spice this renowned wine is a delight to drink.
Merlot 2002
This extremely popular black grape was also grown at Pfeiffer Vineyards. A fast maturer with low tannins, Merlot is a smooth wine. Enjoy the berry bouquet, soft and fruity. The taste is plump and lush in your mouth, then feels dry and rich as it finishes in your throat.
Cabernet Sauvignon 2002
These vintages come from select vineyards in the Paso Robles area. Tannic and long aging, notice the subtle hints of dark cherry, black currant, and chocolate. When you think of the finest red wines in the world you often think of Cabemet Sauvignons.
Cabernet Sauvignon 2001
Zinfandel 2002
Exclusively in California, select vineyards East of Paso Robles produced these exotic black grapes. Providing excellent fruit structure, savor the forward fruit flavors and spicy overtones.
