Contact: Joe Rochioli

With three generations of dedication to the land, Rochioli Vineyards and Winery has earned the reputation as one of Sonoma County's finest wineries. This family legacy began in 1938, when Joe Rochioli Sr. purchased land he had long farmed. He had the foresight to know that the soil of the Russian River Valley would one day produce some of the world's greatest wines. His son Joe Jr. embraced this vision and today craft renowned, terrior-driven wines built on a foundation of superb fruit.

The result has been a decades-long tradition of outstanding vintages: Silky-smooth, fruit-forward Pinot Noirs; rich, opulent Chardonnays; and tangy, food-friendly Sauvignon Blancs. Always in demand, always revered and always rated among the best varietals to be sought anywhere in the world. This commitment to quality is unwavering and our promise to everyone who uncorks a bottle of our wine. Many lessons are learned and passed on from generation to generation. Joe Jr. shared in his father's care of the land while also introducing new grape varieties. Joe Jr. understood that great wine could only be made from highest-quality fruit, and passed this learning on to his son Tom at an early age.

Tom was enlightened during a trip to Burgundy (Romanée-Conti) where he tasted wines that clearly showed the unique qualities of separate vineyard lots and single varieties. With this experience, Tom and Joe worked together to develop an intimate knowledge of their vineyard's soil and climate variation. Today, the vineyard is divided into unique blocks, each dedicated to numerous clones. In the 1990s, Rochioli Winery released wines from five blocks, each displaying its unique terroir. At this point, the Rochiolis established the Russian River Valley as a petite Cote d'Or with terroir-driven wines.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
