Robert Renzoni Vineyards is a remarkable estate, nestled in the heart of the Temecula Valley. With 12 acres, it was one of the last great undeveloped properties in Temecula and has all the characteristics of a great wine estate: rolling hills, different microclimates, three distinct soil types and multiple elevations. The property provides an ideal growing climate as well as scenic vistas from which to enjoy the beautiful landscape that is Temecula.

Robert Renzoni Vineyards is comprised of 12 acres of which 9 acres are planted to the classic Bordeaux & Italian grape varieties in 6 vineyard blocks as follows: Cabernet Sauvignon, Clone 8 (3 acres), Pinot Grigio, Clone 4 (3 acres), Sangiovese, Brunello Clone (3 acres). The diversity of sun exposure, elevation, and microclimate and soil type produce many different wine lots from the 6 different vineyard blocks. We believe the diversity of the property contributes to the high quality and uniqueness of the fruit.

Now with nearly ten years of growth, the Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard (planted in 1998) has lost its youthful exuberance and has developed into a balanced vineyard that needs little manipulation to produce low yields and concentrated flavors. The Sangiovese and Pinot Grigio vines were planted in 2007.

The fact the vineyards had not been planted throughout the early growth in Temecula Valley's vineyard development is essential. While some vineyards were overtaken with Pearce’s disease in the early to mid 1990's and subsequently plagued by an assault of aggressive mechanical and chemical remedies, the property was untainted. When Robert began to develop the vineyard in 2006, the soils were alive and healthy, and free from prior disease.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
