In 1990 at an old TV studio in North Miami, a group of roadies were getting ready to start a rock & roll tour. One of the roadies came up with the idea of having a traveling coffee bar for the touring group. It started out small with everyone donating a few dollars to keep a supply of good coffee on hand and a quiet corner to enjoy a cup of Cuban style coffee.

As the tour started it's way around the world this corner for coffee became a very popular place for everyone from the roadies to the artist. But there was no name for this traveling hot spot. Then one day in England something happened to change that.

The Stage Manager whose hobby was fly fishing was sitting in his hotel room tying some new flies. The maid service knocked on the door wanting to make up the room. The maid was let in so she could do her job. The SM went back to work on his flies. The maid who had grown up in a country that had a history of Voodoo saw this scruffy looking little man sitting at a desk with a stack of feathers and other such things that one needs to tie fishing flies. She started screaming and ran out of the room. Apparently it's bad luck to interrupt someone who is casting a spell and she feared for her life. The next knock on the door was the police. The maid was so scared that the hotel had called the police to come and remove the SM from the hotel. It turned out that the detective was a fly fisherman himself and made friends with the SM, and the maids refused to come back to the room for the rest of his stay. In the end there was a photo of the SM wearing a big fur hat hung in the coffee area and it was known as The Voodoo Cafe.

The tour ended an the Voodoo Cafe moved on to another tour. One of the roadies liked the idea of the Voodoo Cafe and got the OK to start another using the Voodoo name. This is where the VooDoo Too Cafe came from. The VooDoo Too Cafe expanded into all kinds of coffee and good cigars, Traveling around the world for 10 years and serving over 20,000 cups of coffee to many famous artist and their road crews. The last cup of coffee was served on New Years Eve Dec. 31, 2001.
