Michael Ridgeway had a vision in 2001 when he first set his eyes on the property that is now “Two Pisces Vineyard”. In September of 2004, the first grapes were harvested from the young vineyard. Dan Goldfield was chosen as winemaker. Whole cluster, cold fermentation process was used. The wine was aged in select, imported French Oak barrels for 12 months. 274 cases of this wine were bottled in March 2006 as Teela and Michael celebrated their “Pisces” birthdays. The influence of the
ocean has proven to be perfect for this couple as well as for their wine. Ridgeway 2004 Pinot Noir was released in August of 2006.

Ridgeway Family Vineyards is located at the Southwest edge of Petaluma on approximately 10 acres of rolling hills. Five premium Dijon clones were selected for this vineyard site. Though very difficult to grow, Pinot Noir has a reputation for being the most sensuous of all wines. Cool, foggy evenings are two key elements for producing premium Pinot Noir grapes and the Sonoma Coast has most recently become recognized for producing high quality Pinot Noir wine.his wine can be paired with grilled wild salmon, fillet mignon, or braised lamb shanks with garlic polenta. It also compliments the earthy flavors of local goat cheese and toasted pecans in a salad of fresh mixed greens.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
