Wines at Ridgeback Winery are made under a different concept than that of traditional wineries. Our winery follows a pre-designed process that is performed as the owners work through the entire wine making cycle, on small different wine batches of the same varietals. We also produce small quantities of Reserve Wines that under - go a second malolatic fermentation that results in a smoother taste.
Ridgeback Winery is a private company owned by the Thompson family of Longwood, Florida. The Thompson's have two big loves: their dogs, Rosco and Zanta, and wine. They decided to expand their hobby of home wine production into a business, naming it after the dog breed they so enjoy.
We manufacture and sell hand-crafted mid-priced wines made from imported and domestic juices and juice concentrates. Wines produced by the Ridgeback Winery are only available at its tasting room. We offer customers wine manufactured in hand-crafted batches of the highest quality ingredients taking care to maintain the highest processing standards possible. The satisfaction of the customer is our main goal.
