In 1992 as a hobby wine maker my excitement for making wine was all consuming at times but never did I imagine the following would unfold. Growing up in Sonoma County near the Russian River and Dry creek Valley I had the company of plenty wine enthusiasts to explore wine, wine making and food with in those days. Over the years I became more involved with people in the industry and learned from them as much as I could.

In 2002 I had the opportunity to leave the stresses of corporate America and start over doing something I enjoyed for a living. And at the time I thought could lead too me moving to Oregon or as I affectionately refer to as “THE PROMISE LAND”. I went back to school to study viticulture and shortly there after got a cellar job with White Oak Winery in Healdsburg California. I moved on from there to Deerfield Ranch Winery as the assistant winemaker and vineyard manager where I spent two of the best years of my life. But the call of Oregon was too strong for me to ignore and in 2006 had the opportunity to make a dream come true and move to “The Promise Land”.

Now in 2010 my Journey has brought me to the Eola Hills in Oregon where I have found a beautiful place to call home and have launched the Quest Cellars Label. My first release is a 2008 Willamette Valley Pinot Noir. I plan on expanding the product line over the next few years with more Pinot Noir from select vineyards, Riesling and Chardonnay. I hope you will follow along with me and enjoy the wines on your journey.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
