By 1999 we were producing barrel quantities of award winning amateur wines. Our 2004 Pinot Noir & 2004 Barbera won silver awards in both the 2006 San Joaquin County Fair and 2006 Indy International Wine Judging. Our Barbera also won the Best of Class award in the 2006 San Joaquin County Fair. In search of a career change in 2005 and with encouragement from friends and family, I began to take the steps to turn the family hobby of creating hand crafted small lot wines into a commercial brand. The focus of Paul D Cattrone Wines is to produce great food friendly wines of Italian varieties and styles. In July 2008, Paul D Cattrone Wines proudly released its first commercial vintage.
