The name “Miletta,” resulted from combining the first names of the owners, Mick & Loretta. We struggled with finding the right name for months, yet in an instant, our friend Morris Jacobs, during a Memorial weekend visit in 2006, said, “with a view like this, you have to include Vista in the name.” Thus, “Miletta Vista,” was adopted.

Miletta Vista, is Nebraska’s most scenic winery setting a top of one of Central Nebraska’s hills. Our winery currently ranks 6th in total Nebraska sales! Our winery & tasting room set a top a hill four miles north of St. Paul, NE on U.S. Hwy 281, overlooking the beautiful North Loup River Valley. On a clear day you can see 25-30 miles, overlooking one of Nebraska’s most scenic rivers, the beautiful North Loup River Valley.

Our modern facility opened December 9, 2007, it featured a 2,000 square foot tasting room and a 1,000 sq ft winery. We doubled our size in 2010 adding a 3,000 sf of production floor and office, and converted the original 1,000 sf winery area to a wine warehouse. The tasting room has 84 feet of covered wrap around deck that is a great place to enjoy our surroundings as well as the wine and food. Of course the tasting room has lots of windows, allowing the opportunity to enjoy the scenery year round. You can set on the covered deck or in the comfort of the tasting room and enjoy our mission style maple bistro table’s. In order to discover our wines your can purchase a 5 wine 1 ounce each tasting or enjoy wine by the glass or bottle. Snacks available include meat & cheese trays, Loretta’s homemade breads & dipping oil, brie cheese trays or if you call a head a panini sandwich plate.

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
