With a lifelong passion for winemaking, Bob and Carol Hauck began planting their vineyards in 1995, having purchased 52 acres of land. Their first vintage was produced in 2001. Since that time, they have continued to expand and explore the unlimited possibilities of the art and science of vineyard development and wine-making.

About Wine Tastings
Stop by for a wine tasting experience like no other. Nine wines are available and can be sampled for a nominal charge of only $5 per person. You will enjoy sitting by the big fireplace, where there is music always playing in the background. Bread, cheese, and salami and are available. Groups of 15 or more need to make reservations in advance, so that we can serve you properly.

About the Winery
The Lost Creek Winery property features two big pavilions where groups of up to 100 can gather in an outdoor setting when the weather is right. Stroll to the gazebo and view the vines. Next to the building is a big field for volleyball, Frisbee, and picnicking. Lost Creek Winery is a pleasant place to spend a day or an evening.

Gift Store
In our tasting room is a gift store, filled with local art, local crafts, and local foods. Pick up souvenir tee shirts and other wine-related items. A highlight of the shop is the collection of beautiful European ceramic dishes, along with other accessories relating to wine, fine dining, and the good life.

The Vineyards
Take a free tour through our winery and learn about the wine-making process from the vine all the way to your glass.

About the Area

Situated in the heart of horse country, Lost Creek Winery is steeped in history, being the site of one of General Robert E. Lee’s crossings during the War Between then States. Nearby is the site of Battle of Ball's Bluff, one of the largest Civil War engagements to take place in the area, now a tourist site where visitors can learn more about this important aspect of American history.
