Wanting to move from the big city and having a love for the lake and scenic views, the Lindwedels moved from the St. Louis area in 1995 and settled in the Ozarks on Table Rock Lake just outside of Branson, Missouri. Bringing their three daughters with them, Kim and Stephen started a life at the lake.

The idea of a wine garden began as Steve tried to think of a way to tie together his chemistry background, his love for the “farm”, and his wish to enjoy family and friends in a relaxed atmosphere. So he began looking at establishing a vineyard. However, he knew how much time and effort it took to start and maintain a farm, and after some research, decided that he and his family had neither the time nor the finances to start a vineyard.

It was after several trips to the wine country of Missouri in the fall of 2005 and the spring of 2006 with their family and close friends that the dream of bringing that same atmosphere to the Ozarks and the Branson area became to look like a possibility. Kim and Steve began looking for property located around the Branson area. In March of 2007, they purchased a house and 15 acres located just west of Branson. The land has a beautiful view overlooking the rolling hills of the Ozarks, the west end of the Highway 76 “The Strip” through Branson and its lights at night, and the Shepherd of the Hills Inspiration Tower.

Lindwedel Wine Garden features wines produced in the state of Missouri. These wines are crafted varietals grown in Missouri, as well as other parts of the United States. We look forward to both visitors and residents of Branson coming to enjoy our fine handcrafted wines.

We hope that you will enjoy our wines and atmosphere with your friends and family for years to come and wish pleasant memories to last a lifetime.

LWG opened its doors in November 2007 with the help and prayers of our family and friends, without whom this would still be just a dream. We wish to provide a relaxed atmosphere in which to enjoy some of God's most precious gifts, for any occasion, or none at all!

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
