LaBrasseur Vineyard is a completely family-owned and operated vineyard and winery. Fred and Candy LaBrasseur, the vineyard’s namesake, could have been well on their way to retirement. Fred is fast approaching the end of a long career with the Medford Fire Department. Instead, they have chosen to pursue the passion and pain of the vine. They hope their efforts provide a tangible, lasting and ultimately enjoyable legacy for their children and grandchildren.

Tony and Deidra Schroeder, the LaBrasseur’s son-in-law and daughter, decided that they would rather be slaves to the whims of grapevines than to the traditional bosses of the world, although Tony currently works full time elsewhere as well. They hope that someday, their daughter Brynn will work the land and make liquid magic, learning the gratification of well-spent days in the hot sun and sometimes nights spent processing grapes in the bone-chilling cold!

Our two families have worked together to build our dream, which involves much more than just running a business with each other. We have the kind of relationship that is fast becoming a lost art; beyond working side by side, we also choose, more often than not, to spend our play time with the people who live “just down the hill.”

It’s our philosophy that wine should be enjoyed in a relaxed, friendly place, with relaxed, friendly people. We hope your visit to the beautiful place where we have the pleasure of living and working every day, leavesyou feeling like part of our family.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
