Knights Bridge was founded by a close circle of accomplished friends who celebrate a shared passion for wine and food, a love of farming and respect for nature. Managing Director and St. Helena native Tim Carl and colleagues Jim Bailey, RoAnn Costin, Tom Costin and Essel Bailey have created this unique place where their families and friends can gather. Joined in their venture by a talented community of professional associates, they celebrate friendship, family, fellowship and the promise of great vintages to come.

Different Talents & Expressive Styles, Creating Wines of Distinction and Personality
Knights Bridge has enlisted the talents of rising star winemaker Jeff Ames. Using fruit from exceptional vineyards, he produces specific wines that reflect each vineyard's terroir and his own sense of style. This allows Knights Bridge to produce wines of great distinction and personality from our estate vineyards and other notable properties.

Jeff Ames
Jeff AmesHaving worked under some of the most respected names in winemaking, Jeff Ames is now establishing himself as a winemaker known for wines of distinct style and finesse. Jeff served as assistant winemaker under James Johnson of Bisou, Barry Waitte of Tamber Bay, and also worked at Howell Mountain, Schrader Cellars and Maybach Cellars before becoming winemaker for Kenward Family Wines. There, he made wine from fruit purchased from such top vineyards as Howell Mountain, To Kalon, Hudson Vineyard, and Judge Vineyard. Besides making wine for Knights Bridge, Jeff is the owner and winemaker of Ames Wine Company, founded in 2005.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
