Lindsay Austin founded a new breed of winery where club members craft fine wine with the help of the industry's best (read more). By pooling members’ efforts and sharing resources, a coop- structured wine club benefits everyone. Members share the unique experience of making and learning about wine, personalizing their finished product, while making friends and having fun in the process.

Winemaking is not a mystery. The best wine is “made in the vineyard” meaning simply that the best grapes, picked at the right time produces the finest finished product We line up superb grapes from the finest appellations in Northern California to ensure a quality wine from the very beginning. As a Member you will learn the best methods and techniques from our winemaking consultant to finish natures work.

All wine made at Kings Hill Cellars is the property of its Members – no wine is for sale. Next time you come up to the Wine Country, wouldn’t you rather be checking in on your own barrels? Ideally situated above Calistoga and Santa Rosa on the Kings Hill Ranch, Kings Hill Cellars is centrally located between Sonoma and Napa Counties. The winery, and attached guest house affectionately referred to as "The Roost", enjoy an impressive panoramic view, including Knights Valley, the Calistoga palisades, Mt St. Helena and extending as far as Alexander Valley.
Our goal is to offer our Members several different varietal selections each year, so that over time they can round out their wine cellars and experience a wide variety of winemaking. We source our grapes from meticulous local winegrowers who have a reputation for growing outstanding grapes that have made award-winning wines.

Available varietals will vary each year. Grapes must be contracted in advance and quantity is limited. Sign up is on a first come first serve basis. Members are welcome to assist in future varietal selection.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
