Keswick Vineyards, located at Edgewood, is a gracious Virginia estate encompassing 400 rolling acres of farm and woodland rich in history. The land was part of the original 1727 Nicholas Meriwether Crown Grant that encompassed nearly 18,000 acres along the southwest mountains near Charlottesville.
Upon purchasing the estate, Al and Cindy Schornberg planted vines, and decided to dedicate themselves to producing the best wines in Virginia. Their first release, Viognier Estate Reserve, was awarded the “Best White Wine in America” at the prestigious Atlanta International Wine Summit, surpassing many well-know wines from the major wine-producing states. The very next year, the 2003 Chardonnay was released, which was awarded the "Best White Wine in Virginia" at the 2005 Virginia Governor's Cup Wine Competition. Wine's include Viognier, Chardonnay, Verdejo, Rose, Touriga, Norton, Syrah, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Petite Verdot, Chambourcin, Bordeaux Blends, and a dessert style sweet Viognier.
Wine tastings and sales are available daily from 9 to 5 at the tasting room, excluding major holidays. Call ahead to arrange private tours or group tastings in the winery. Keswick Vineyards is proud to announce that we are now also hosting corporate and social special events on the beautiful property surrounding the Edgewood Estate. Lush grounds and magnificent views of the vineyards and mountains will surround your guests as they witness your vineyard wedding, gather around the pool for cocktails or under our sperry tent for a grand reception for up to 200 guests. Adjacent to the pool area, the three bedroom Carriage House is also available for use and serves as an intimate setting for indoor ceremonies, rehearsal dinners, private tastings or corporate meetings for up to 50 guests.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
