California’s Napa Valley has been a source of world-class Cabernet Sauvignon for well over a century. Its warm climate and varied terrain allows for many styles of wine. One thread that runs through almost all the Cabernet based wines from Napa is their lush, ripe full-bodied feel and rich flavors of currant and berry.

Created expressly to raise money for children’s charities, the JP Harbison Cabernet Sauvignon is always rich with dark berry flavors and is crafted to be enjoyed young, but also has the structure to age gracefully for patient connoisseurs.

A true boutique label, in 2006 only six barrels were made, the most in any year so far. The majority of Harbison is made into magnums and double magnums, available only to winning auction bidders. The JP Harbison Cabernet Sauvignon reached cult status almost immediately, due to its exclusivity and exquisite composition made by Gary Brookman, who is also the winemaker for Grace Family Vineyards, Miner Family Vineyards and Clark-Claudon Vineyards.
