ohn Christopher Cellars is a family owned winery located in the Livermore Valley producing around 1500 cases of heart and hand crafted wine each year. We offer both red and white wines, with our main focus on Cabernet Sauvignon, Petite Sirah and Zinfandel. Our wines have received numerous awards as well as critical acclaim by a Bay Area food and wine critic, Narsai David. Starfall, a proprietary red wine blend, is one of our signature wines that is popular among both red and white wine drinkers. We opened our new tasting room in downtown Livermore in May of 2006. It is located in a historic building called Blacksmith Square and features a beautiful courtyard as well as several other boutique wineries and of course, our elegant tasting room. We feature all our wines in this sophisticated yet casual setting.

We are within walking distance to many fine restaurants and other downtown Livermore attractions, including our new 12 screen movie theater and the Bankhead Performing Arts Center, which opened in October 2007. John Christopher Cellars at Blacksmith Square is the perfect place to meet with friends and family as you discover all that our newly renovated downtown has to offer. We also regularly have events on our courtyard including wine release parties, olive oil tastings, live music, art exhibits and other exciting events. All of our events and activities are listed on our Events Web Page. Please visit us soon! His love of Petite Sirah was one inspiration for starting John Christopher Cellars. His wife Chris loved Zinfandel, so those two wines became the primary varietals for the winery. Moving to Livermore and being surrounded by beautiful vineyards and exceptional world class wines provided the impetus to open his own winery. John Christopher Cellars is named after Tom and Chris's two sons, using their middle names. The winery produces approximately 1500 cases of hand and heart crafted superb wine. Each vintage of wine is made in about 200 case lots.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
