Some of the finest award winning Georgia Wines have been produced at Habersham Vineyards & Winery since 1983. Over 150 medals have been awarded to Habersham Wines in both national and international competitions. The Winery was located in Baldwin, Georgia until November 1998 when construction on a new facility was completed at Nacoochee Village in Helen, Georgia. Located just one half mile from Alpine Helen, Nacoochee Village is now home to not only Habersham Winery, but many other unique shops.
The winery's production under the labels of Creekstone, Habersham, and Southern Harvest has increased to over 15,000 cases annually. The winery is open daily, with complimentary samples of wine in the tasting room. A large gift shop carries a huge selection of wine specialty items, unique gifts, and gourmet food products. Habersham Wines make a great gift and are available only in Georgia.
Habersham acquired eight acre vinifera vineyard in 1994. It is planted with cabernet sauvignon, merlot and chardonnay and yields about 25 tons of grapes annually.
Stonepile Vineyard north of Clarkesville is Habersham's original and oldest vineyard with plantings dating to 1980. Current plantings of about 30 acres yield 125 tons yearly on average. Varieties include cabernet sauvignon, merlot, chardonnay, riesling and French-American varieties seyval, vidal and chambourcin.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
