The Frogtown winery is specifically designed to produce high quality wine from Frogtown grapes and, at the same time, to make the most of our rolling terrain. Constructed on a hillside overlooking the vineyards.
Frogtown winery is an underground, tri-level, gravity-flow winemaking facility. Using gravity in place of pumps allows for gentle vinification and treatment of our grape must, juice and wine from start to finish. In addition, the special design of the winery gives us tremendous flexibility in making our wines. We are able to treat every wine grape in an individual manner and develop a style of wines that is uniquely Frogtown.
Gold Medal Winner! Our 2005 Touché is Frogtown's avant-garde red wine blend. With flavors of bright red fruit and spice, Touché embodies our excitement for wine grape production at Frogtown. On these 41 acres of North Georgia vineyards, we have planted 19 different varieties.
The red varieties include: Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Sangiovese, Tannat, Touriga, and Norton. The white varieties include: Chardonnay, Viognier, Marsanne, Rousanne, Souvignon Blanc, Muscat, Vidal, and Seyval. Much care has gone into deciding exactly where to plant each variety in our vineyards. In total 18,000 grape vines capable of producing up to 180 tons of premium wine grapes are planted.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
