We are very pleased that you have chosen to visit our website. Fenton Herriott Vineyards is a family owned and operated winery run by proprietor Guy Herriott.

We chose to plant our vines amidst the steady sun and rich soil of Placerville California. As a result of the great advantages of this viticulture region, and following a tradition of master craftsmanship, our family is intimately involved in every step of the winemaking process.

Fenton Herriott Vineyards first began making wine in 2003. Since then, we have worked diligently to produce many outstanding wines as well as a wide variety of wines. Our varieties include Chardonnay, Rose' Syrah, Gewurztraminer, Sangiovese, Barbera, Merlot, Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, Zinfandel, Petite Sirah, White Port, and a Ruby Syrah "Port".

As a small, family owned winery, Fenton Herriott is intimately involved in every part of the vintner process - vineyard and vine maintenance, grape crush, fermentation, barrel ageing, bottling, and packaging. To provide a broader selection of wines to our custumers, we supplement our harvest with other hand selected grapes grown from quality small vineyards here in the El Dorado foothills. All of our wines are being made "by hand" which is both a time consuming and an exacting task, yet truly something we love to do. All wines are minimally filtered to ensure a richer body and maximize the nutritional benefits of drinking wine. We have many wines now available for purchase, and we are confident that you will love them as much as we do.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
