Named after David Davis a homesteader in the area who later sold his property to Gina's grandfather, Gilbert Davis (the two men were unrelated). Gilbert then began a life of farming and ranching on the property growing: dried peas, seed potatoes, cattle, and sheep. He also maintained a farm in Caldwell giving Gina's family long time association in both valleys.
Gina Davis aquired her general agricultural knowledge in Sand Hollow, ID with her parents George and Gayle, and older brother Michael, on their family farm. As a graduate from New Plymouth High School, Gina went on to study Horticulture and Crop Science at University of Idaho where she graduated with a Bachelors in 2003. In the wine industry, Gina has worked at St. Chapelle in the lab, Sawtooth as an Enologist and Koenig Winery and Distillery as the Tasting Room Manager and Assistant Winemaker. She is currently putting all of her focus towards growing her own label, Davis Creek, which produces about 1000 cases a year.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
