Vineyards:
Dry Creek Valley is the ideal climate for growing Cabernet and Merlot. Cool fog from the coast keeps acidity high and fruit flavors bright. Mid-day sun blows off the fog and ripens the grapes for richness and density. Our Vineyard Manager picks at the optimum point when ripeness strikes a perfect balance with acidity and maturity of flavors.

Winemaking:
Our Proprietary Reds are a classic blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot.

The fruit is harvested in the early dawn hours to preserve the intense berry aromas and flavors. Both varieties are individually fermented in stainless steel tanks and barrel aged in a combination of French and American oak for at least 8 months. The varieties are then meticulously blended to craft extraordinary wines.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
