Crooked Vine Winery & Stony Ridge

The original Stony Ridge winery was established in 1887 at the historic Ruby Hills site in Pleasanton, California. In 1975, a group of young enthusiastic winemakers leased the current Livermore property and continued Stony Ridge Winery. In 2000, the Vaughn family purchased the winery and expanded creating an additional label, Crooked Vine.
In 2007, the Corbett Family purchased Crooked Vine Winery and Stony Ridge Winery. A grape growing family for over twelve years, The Corbett’s wanted to create complete Estate grown wines, controlling the wine making process from fruit to bottle. Through hard work and persistence, they have succeeded, creating world class estate wines that have garnered international and local awards.
Our estate vineyard provides the fruit for Crooked Vine and Stony Ridge award winning wines. Located at the top of Crane Ridge, 200 feet above the valley floor, Del Arroyo Vineyards is the third largest grower in the Livermore Valley. This unique location, coupled with five different soil types, allows the vineyards to produce eleven different varieties of grapes: cabernet sauvignon, merlot, syrah, petite sirah, zinfandel, pinot noir, viognier, pinot grigio, chardonnay, sauvignon blanc, and malvasia. In addition to providing premium fruit to Crooked Vine and Stony Ridge, Del Arroyo produces fruit for many other Livermore Valley wineries.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
