Donald and Nancy Panoz are the visionaries and founders of Château Élan in Braselton, Ga., USA. The luxurious resort is the first winery of its kind in the region since Prohibition. With numerous expansions over the past 14 years, Château Élan is now an award-winning winery and resort with an inn, conference center, four golf courses, eight restaurants, European-style health spa, residential community, wine market, equestrian show center and tennis center. Château Élan is North Atlanta's premier meeting destination that offers championship golf, a full-production winery, European health spa, and world-class amenities.Within the sweeping panorama of the north Georgia foothills, just 40 minutes away from Atlanta, Château Élan began with the planting of vineyards in 1981. From these lush vines of Chardonnay, Merlot, Cabernet & Riesling grapes has grown a 3,500 acre conference and leisure destination where French provincial and Southern hospitality combine to produce exceptional wines and warm memories.
Mission: For Château Élan to be a part of the world-wide effort in becoming more environmentally efficient and aware by implementing a Green Initiative while maintaining luxury standards and keeping our guest’s comforts our first priority.
Events:
Château Élan's annual Vineyard Fest celebration scheduled for Sunday, August 29th, 2010 has been one of the hottest ticket items around for the past five years among wine and food lovers in the North Atlanta area.
More than 100 domestic and international wines will be available for tasting with wineries from Argentina, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Australia and New Zealand plus regional wineries from California, New York, Washington, Oregon, North Carolina, Virginia and Georgia participating. Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
