Chaddsford Winery, located in the beautiful Brandywine Valley to the southwest of Philadelphia, is Pennsylvania’s largest and best known winery. It was founded in 1982 by east coast pioneers Eric and Lee Miller who also owned New York state’s first farm winery, Benmarl Vineyards in the Hudson Valley; today Eric Miller still serves as the company’s consulting winemaker and advisor.

Over the years Chaddsford has both cultivated vineyards and purchased grapes from exciting regions around the country, and has produced a wide variety of wines, from nationally acclaimed premium dry varietals like Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon and Pinot Noir, to a festive line of consumer friendly favorites like Niagara, Sangria and Spiced Apple.

One of the company’s strengths has always been its diversity. Chaddsford Winery built its brand and reputation for high quality through retail sales in Pennsylvania, including many wine shops and tasting rooms in the Philadelphia region, and has long been known for its fun festivals and events held on the winery grounds. Today Chaddsford continues to grow and expand through increasing sales of its specialty sweet wines in wholesale markets outside of Pennsylvania, including Delaware, Maryland, DC, Virginia and other states.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
