Cassel Vineyards is located just two miles west of Hersheypark off Route 39 on Shetland Drive. The vineyards and winery are part of the 135 acre Cassel family farm. This farm has been in the Cassel family for five generations and operating since 1903. The five acre vineyard includes six varieties of grapes: Chambourcin, Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay, Vidal Blanc, Concord, and Niagara. It is managed and operated by Cassel brothers, Craig and Chris and their wives, Becky and Jody.

The vineyard is just one facet of the Cassel farm. It is also home of Cassel Brookside Stables, which is owned and managed by Cleon S. Cassel and his wife Dottie. This part of the farm is a thoroughbred racehorse facility and broodmare foaling center operated by Lydee (Cassel) Shea and her husband Tim. The 6th generation of Cassel’s has also begun their venture in agriculture by showing fancy breeds of poultry at local shows including the Pennsylvania Farm Show where they have won numerous titles.

There are many unique sights to see on the Cassel farm; free roaming peacocks and guineas, a picturesque vineyard, along with mares and foals grazing on the hillside.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
