Brookside Cellars is the latest addition to the emerging list of boutique wineries to be established in Marin County. We specialize in small lots of Pinot Noir and Cabernet Sauvignon from select vineyards in Marin and Sonoma Counties crafted in the classic style of Burgundy. Our 2006 Marin County Pinot Noir comes from the lovingly tended Moon Hill Vineyard in Nicasio. Nestled in the hills above the San Geronimo Valley, the Moon Hill Vineyard receives both full sun and cooling coastal breezes creating ideal conditions for Pinot Noir.

Brookside Cellars is pleased to receive the devoted attention of one of Marin County native, winemaker Tim Crowe. Tim, a graduate of the University of California at Davis, has been making wine in Sonoma County and Napa County since 1991. During his career, Tim has plied his trade at such notable wineries as Arrowwood Vineyards and Winery, BR Cohn, Spring Mountain Vineyards, Pezzi King Vineyards, Paoletti Estates and now Brookside Cellars. His wines have met with broad consumer and critical acclaim receiving gold medals and Best of Class recognition in national wine competitions in addition to many wine competitions throughout California. Several of Tim's many wines have earned 90-plus scores in the Wine Spectator and Wine Advocate.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
