Dann designed our unique underground winery, and his imaginative flair is evident throughout the facility. We are proud of the craftsmanship used in its creation, and the state-of-the-art technology employed to make our wines. One visitor remarked that, for such a limited production of wine, we may have the finest facility in all of Napa Valley. Our first releases, the 2006 Estate Cabernet and Carrera Estate Blend, reflect the attention to detail and quality that comes with working very closely with an extremely small amount of wine (fewer than 200 cases each).

The winery also mirrors our commitment to the environment. In 2008, we added to our sustainable efforts by becoming only the ninth winery in Napa Valley to complete the county's Green Certified Winery Program, designed to promote sustainable practices inside the winery. In addition to water and waste conservation practices, we enjoy the energy-saving benefits of an underground facility, and any electricity we use is powered 100% by solar energy. Our 30 kilowatt photovoltaic system saves nearly 60,000 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions every year in energy production. If you reserve a spot in one of our limited tours, a family member will show you the entire facility, but watch out for the electric forklift - it's very quiet.

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
