At Blue Ridge Vineyard we take pride in offering handcrafted, superior-quality, small-lot, affordable wines. Combined with breath taking views, relaxed atmosphere, and friendly folks, we offer a setting to not only enjoy fine wine, but the experience as well. Our first planting in 1985 established us as one of Virginia’s first vineyards. Through the years the vineyard expanded and the vines continued to mature, creating a unique and distinctive variety of Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Noir, and Cabernet Franc grapes.

In 2006 we opened our tasting room and began what can only be described as a truly rewarding adventure. At harvest we have the luxury of selecting only those grapes that have reached their peak of quality. Our wine is created in small lots, with minimal influence until reaching that magic moment when grapes turn to wine. We invite you to come and enjoy, the vines, and the wines, at Blue Ridge Vineyard. Bring a friend, dog, hiking shoes, pack a lunch, and join us. Tastings are free, music on the weekends, rain or shine in our 2000+ square foot event center, a sky full of stars at night, and 300 acres of breathing space, picnic tables and hiking trails. We look forward to seeing you soon!

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
