"Black Wolf Vineyards" and "The Wolf's Lair" restaurant are co-located in the "Yadkin Valley Wine Country" in Dobson, Surry County, N.C. We feature wines made only from the grapes grown here at "Black Wolf Vineyards". Our wine tasting room, on the second floor of "The Wolf's Lair" restaurant, offers the following Black Wolf Vineyards wines. *Red Wines* Cabernet Sauvignon Reserve - Oak Barrel Fermented, supple with great intensity, uncommon depth and concentrated flavors. Cabernet Sauvignon - Robust, deep and full bodied. True elegance and finesse. Chambourcin - Intense bouquet and taste with a hint of herbs and spice. Pinot Noir - Intimate, moody, dark as a stormy night. Powerful and subtle with an agreeable finish. Sweet Wolf Red - Charmingly pleasant, easygoing wine. A kiss rather than a bite. *White Wines* Chardonnay Reserve - Oak Barrel Fermented. Creamy and dry, with good fruit flavor. One of the best! Chardonnay - Fruity, excellent bouquet with much breed. Blue Moon White - Velvety, soft and mellow. Refreshing and pleasant Sauvignon Blanc - A well made wine. Dry, clear and brilliant. A product of cooperation between man and nature. Perfect for celebrations. Seyval Blanc - Complex, dry and altogether excellent. Consistently exhibits the finesse and delicacy of the Black Wolf line of fine wines. Moonlight White - Sauvignon Blanc with a light peach flavor. The sweetness of summer fruit and first romance. Try our "Wine Flights".

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
