Guy & Ximena met in Miami, Florida and were married there in 2002. They welcomed Luc into the world in 2004 and Alessandra in 2007. Guy was born in Hong Kong and grew up in Paris and London before studying in Scotland and teaching English to French kids near St Emilion. With personal passions for rugby, the great outdoors, good food and of course, wine, Guy always wanted to retire to a vineyard. Born in Lima, Peru, Ximena spent time in various countries in Latin America as a young girl. She then studied in Canada before moving to the US. Family oriented, with a love for the arts, as well as food and wine, it was upon her instigation that they came to the Willamette Valley looking for a place to call home. They hope that with their move to Oregon they will be able to break with their nomadic past and put down deep roots in wine country.

Niall and Lefteria (Freda) are both natives of Galway, Ireland. Having left Ireland in 1995, they spent 4 years living, working and studying together in Devon, England. High school sweethearts, they married while in England after a whirlwind (8 year!) courtship before moving to South Florida in 1999. Their son, Conor was born in 2000 and his sister Aoife (pronounced Eeefah) in 2003. Freda’s Dad is Irish and her Mom is Greek. After studying at University College Galway, she spent time working and teaching in both Florence, Italy & Thessaloniki, Greece. Freda is an avid cook eternally pursuing that illusive Greco – Celtic culinary masterpiece.

Niall is 100% Irish. He is a graduate of the University of Limerick and has worked in the telecoms sector in Ireland, UK & USA. He is an avid eater eternally enjoying Freda’s pursuit of that Greco – Celtic culinary masterpiece.

Although both have enjoyed wine for many years it’s been as interested consumers. The possibility of making wine in the stunning Willamette Valley was a dream come true and this is the beginning of an odyssey for the whole Porter family.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Rex Pickett, Sideways

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
