Amigoni Family Vineyards was established in 2000. Currently, the 10 acre farm has 4.5 acres of vinifera grapes. Vinifera grapes are the vine species that produces over 99 percent of the world's wines today. Vitis vinifera has been planted all over the world. It is native to Europe as well as East and Central Asia. There are estimated to be thousands of varieties of this species, some of the best know are Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Riesling and Zinfandel. Amigoni Vineyards has the majority of the vineyard planted to Cabernet Franc, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon. Other vinifera varieties planted in the vineyard are Viognier, Mourvedre, Petit Verdot and Malbec.

Amigoni Vineyards is located about 30 miles east of Kansas City, Missouri just off Route 50 near a small town called Centerview, Missouri.

The vineyard is about 9 miles west of Warrensburg, MO. Our vineyard is owned and managed by the Amigoni Family for the past 10 years. We have recognized that growing vinifera under the adverse conditions of the continental climate is challenging and against the grain. However, we have developed unique techniques that protect vines and push the envelope to be successful with the premium international varieties of grapes. Every growing season we learn another small piece of the puzzle to growing these varieties. Our wines represent accomplishment of persistence and bring you this wine that will change your opinion of Missouri wines.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
