Chateau Bellevue La Forêt 2010, Fronton, Southwest, France: This robust, well-priced red wine comes to us via Philip Grant, Propriétaire. Remarkably, it won the Gold Medal at the prestigious competition, Concours Général Agricole in 2012 in Paris. Domaine Duseigneur Antarès Lirac 2010, Rhône, France: This classic Rhone red wine is a blend of 60% Grenache and 40% Mourvèdre grapes. It offers loads of black fruit pleasure wrapped in smoky notes. The wine was matured in cement tanks, not oak, and wasn't filtered before bottling. The yield for the vineyard is low at 30 hectoliters per hectare, which concentrated the flavours in the grapes and thus the wine. Juan Gil Monastrell 2011, Jumilla, Spain: Savoury dark chocolate notes with black fleshy plums with a juicy, voluptuous finish. Full-bodied and satin smooth. A huge crowd pleaser. The Monastrell grapes has been grown in Jumilla for centuries. The grapes for this wine come from 40-year-old vines at 700 metres above sea level and the wine was then matured in French oak for 12 months. Great value.
