White Wine

Max Ferd. Richter Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Kabinett 2022, Mosel Prädikatswein, Germany: From the Mosel, Max Ferd. Richter Brauneberger Juffer 2022 Riesling Kabinett is produced from grapes sourced from the famous Brauneberg vineyards on the Moselle. "The name Juffer is derived from the former property of a nunnery that had extensive properties there. The single layer Juffer-Sonnenuhr encompasses the heart of the mountain, where the best parcels are located in the middle of rocks around a sundial. The Brauneberg with a gradient of up to 80% lies in a southern exposure parallel to the course of the river. The soil consists of blue-gray Devonian slate with a very high proportion of stone, as well as inclusions of iron minerals, which make the mountain appear brown in winter. Hence the name: Brauneberg. The ownership share of our winery in Brauneberg goes back to the year 1643; the purchase of a plot of land is documented by a sales contract dated April 17, 1643. (Source: Weingut Max Ferd. Richter). The 2022 Brauneberger Juffer Riesling Kabinett is produced from grapes sourced from 40- to 50-year old vines and is fresh with apple, pear, grapefruit zest and slatey flavours with a mineral, gentle orange blossom and petrol finish. Balanced with vibrant and pitch-perfect acidity, it is a world-class Riesling with a long life ahead of it. Enjoy it through 2050. Riesling Kabinett food pairings: pad Thai, vegetable green curry, spicy seafood curry dishes. Drink: 2024 - 2050 36929 8% S 750 mL $31.95 Score: 93/100. April 2024. Top Rated White Wine Full Review Add to Shopping Cart
