Reviews and Ratings

Pieter Venter rated this wine as 100/100
Tom & Janie Brown rated this wine as 98/100
Monique Sosa - Accredited Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

A great intro to folks who have not been exposed to much Single Malt Scotch. This Speyside dram boasts lovely notes of vanilla, buckwheat honey, orange marmalade, baking spices, roasted almonds, dried apricot and hints of sweet smoke. There is a bit of a bite on the palate - chewy cereal & roasted nuts, while the cooked fruit sweetness is muted.
- Medium bodied
- Alcohol well integrated
- Medium finish (cereal, roasted almonds and baking spice being the lasting flavours)
- Aged in ex-Bourbon, finished in ex-Sherry
- Fruity & Spicy Camp

Jon Steeves - Sommelier rated this wine as 90/100 with the following review:

This is a spectacular Speyside Highland Scotch from the Rich and Round flavour camp. Well integrated alcohol, aromatics of dried apricot and dried apple slices with notes of honey, and a hint of sherry. @jonsteeves rated 91/100. Tasted Sept 2016.

Red, White & Drunk all over by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean writes about wine with a sensuous obsession... and often laugh-out-loud funny... Terrific.

Ms. MacLean is the disarming Everywoman. She loves wine, loves drinking ... ultimately, it's a winning formula.

Unquenchable by Natalie MacLean

Natalie MacLean is a new force in the wine writing world ‐ a feisty North American answer to Hugh Johnson and Jancis Robinson. She can write beautifully about wine.

The Financial Times of London

There are very few people in the wine world who "get it" and Natalie is one of those who brings more fun to a buttoned-up and stodgy game.
