Youthful, vibrant Brunello despite its age. Mouth-watering and some tannic grip and heat from the alcohol. Attractive aromas of black tart cherry, violets, smoke and earth.

Sangiovese Blend food pairings: grilled steak, roast leg of lamb, hard cheese, veal piccata.

Reviews and Ratings

Rebecca Meir-Liebman - Sommelier rated this wine as 92/100 with the following review:

Dark garnet colour. Quite fruit forward, a new world winemaking approach to Brunello wines. Black currants, bacon and delicate leather notes that will develop throughout the years spent in the bottle. Strong personality with a good acidity and tannins backbone which makes it so age-able. A wine that can definitely age for another 15-20 years, where the tannins will soften and the earthiness, leathery bacony notes will come forward.
Collosorbo (2012) is a youthful, big Brunello Di Montalcino from the Tuscany wine region. Smooth and seductive texture with aromas and flavours of cherry, violet, cedar, toast, earthiness and milk chocolate. Tannins are firm and acidity is refreshing. Pair it with a meat lover's pizza topped with steak. - Community Wine Reviews
