Smoky mocha nose wraps around fleshy blackberry aromas. A smooth, full-bodied and attractive Spanish red wine made from the Monastrell grape. It offers a long finish infused with anise and dark floral notes. Very sexy. Nicely balanced. Highly recommended. Pair with leg of lamb.

Monastrell food pairings: veal stew with sautéed vegetables, roast quail wrapped in prosciutto, beef bourguignon, grilled tuna with a pepper crust, pork tenderloin.

Reviews and Ratings

Produced by Bodegas Volver, the 2011 vintage of the Tarima Hill is made from old vine Mourvèdre grapes grown at 2,000-2,500 feet above sea level. The wine is matured for 20 months in French oak barrels. Good cellar wine. - Community Wine Reviews
