Reviews and Ratings

Dan Trcka Wine Blogger rated this wine as 85/100 with the following review:

The 2012 Sunnybrook Farm Estate Chocolate Embrace is a limited edition blueberry wine infused with dark chocolate. It has intense aromas of liquor red currant, blueberry and dark chocolate. It is light to medium bodied, unexpectedly dry, fruity-chocolaty wine; with good acidity and a medium to long, clean, chocolaty finish. Drink with desert - cheesecake, ice-cream and other sweets. Rated 85 pts. Tasted Dec/13.

Carla rated this wine as 82/100 with the following review:

First you taste the blueberries which have a decent complexity, then you finish with a good hit of chocolate and it lingers for a bit. This makes for something of an adventure to drink. Quick sips help layer the flavours.

Sunnybrook recommends it as a dessert wine, and I also would recommend it with a variety of light hors d'oeuvres.

"A medium Blueberry wine is infused with rich Belgian chocolate. The wine is a very appealing union of beguiling berries and charismatic chocolate. The name speaks for itself! Serve with seafood, lobster, lamb, soft cheeses, or cheesecake." (Sunnybrook tasting notes)
