Natalie's Score: 92/100 A beautiful expression of Prince Edward County Pinot Noir. This winery makes two exquisite pinots, this one from the Stanners Vineyard and a second from Four Mile Road Vineyard. Aromas of fleshy ripe cherry and spice with juicy, mouth-watering acidity for fresh seafood.
Pinot Noir food pairings: pork tenderloin with wild blueberry sauce.

Jennifer Havers - WSET Level 3 rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review: A beautiful example of County Pinot Noir. The balance of fruit, earth and spice is lovely. Lots of cherry and a bit of raspberry on the nose, along with that warm earth and savory spice. Flavours are pronounced and balanced with bright acidity and light tannins. The finish is medium+. Very enjoyable, I would recommend enjoying this with friends over a charcuterie and cheese platter.
Nicole Lewis rated this wine as 91/100 with the following review: A wonderful Prince Edward County Pinot Noir that hails from vineyards near Hilier where they are blessed with a similar soil type and climate to that of Burgundy. The similarities continue. This elegant wine displays a muted garnet hue and offers up aromas of wood loam, sour cherry, raspberry, cranberry and flint. The mouth is heralded by flavours of sour cherry, cranberry, stone and well-integrated soft tannins. This is a very dry (2 g/L) medium-bodied gem that that would pair well with a charcuterie board or with a roast turkey dinner. Reviewed by Nicole T. Lewis on September 18th, 2016.
Simon Chen rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: Tasted @ County in the Capital 2017 - What a lovely pinot noir, it's fresh, earthy, and just right amount of acid and tannin to make it a balanced and enjoyable everyday drinking wine.
Pamela Chiles rated this wine as 89/100 with the following review: Nice, light-bodied, fresh-tasting County Pinot. Pretty raspberry/cherry/beetroot on the nose and palate with perfect acidity to pair with all sorts of lighter fare. A charcuterie board is calling out!
The grapes for our 2013 Pinot Noir are from our estate vineyard. A spring frost that year limited our yield to just 0.4 tonnes per acre, so this is a limited release made from grapes with concentrated flavours. In our vineyard the vines are planted close together. The competition between plants encourages the roots to travel deep down into the fractured limestone. Our vineyard contains six Dijon Pinot Noir clones – 114, 115, 459, 667, 777, and 829 and we believe this adds to the interest and complexity of the wine. The grapes were destemmed to whole berries without crushing and fermented in 1 tonne bins for about two to three weeks with punchdowns done by hand. After gently pressing, the wine was then aged for 18 months in French oak barrels. Malolactic fermentation was allowed to occur naturally during barrel aging. Gas pressure was used to rack the wine from barrels to a tank with as little disturbance as possible before bottling. The wine was bottled on September 24, 2015. Source: Winery (Stanners Vineyard)
